Author | Speaker | Educator | Coach & Facilitator
Creating space to pause, reconnect, and explore what could be different.
Hello, I'm Lorraine Cuff, though many know me as Coach Lorraine. I'm an Air Force veteran with 30 years of service, an educator, author, speaker, and facilitator whose work centers on helping people become more aware of how they're living, leading, and making choices.
Over the years, I've come to appreciate something that can be easy to overlook: We can become so good at fulfilling our responsibilities that we forget to consider ourselves in the process.
Whether we're serving our country, leading an organization, raising a family, building a career, or caring for others, life can gradually become a collection of expectations we've learned to meet.
And sometimes, without realizing it, we stop asking whether those expectations still reflect what matters to us.
That's where my work begins.
Much of my professional life was spent in military education, training, and leadership.
Throughout my Air Force career, I had the privilege of working with people from different backgrounds, helping them develop their abilities, navigate responsibilities, and recognize opportunities for growth.
Those experiences taught me the value of listening, observation, accountability, and recognizing the individuality of the people we serve.
My personal experiences taught me that being successful at managing life's responsibilities doesn't necessarily mean we're living intentionally. We can become so accustomed to meeting expectations and keeping things moving that we rarely pause to consider how our choices are affecting our own lives.
These experiences deepened my appreciation for awareness—recognizing what we’re experiencing, what we’ve become accustomed to, and the choices available to us.
That realization continues to shape my work today.
One Small Shift
I've come to recognize that meaningful change doesn't always begin with a dramatic decision or an elaborate plan.
Sometimes, it begins with how we see something.
A question we hadn't considered.
A familiar situation viewed from another perspective.
A moment when we recognize a pattern, expectation, or possibility that previously escaped our attention.
One Small Shift is an invitation to pause, notice, and consider what could be different.
It isn't about telling people what they need to change or providing ready-made answers.
It's about creating space for exploration, awareness, and intentional choice.
A small shift in perspective can become the beginning of something meaningful—personally or professionally.
Reset, Renew, & Reclaim
My work comes together through Reset, Renew, & Reclaim, guided by a simple philosophy:
Intentional living begins with awareness.
This approach informs my coaching, writing, speaking, and facilitated experiences.
It isn't about following a prescribed path. It's about discovering what resonates with you and what you choose to do with that awareness.
The Experiences I Create
I enjoy bringing people together through meaningful conversation, reflection, and experiences that encourage curiosity and participation.
My work has explored themes including:
These are examples of the conversations and experiences I facilitate—not a restrictive menu of programs.
Every experience is shaped around the people involved, the setting, and the purpose of bringing them together.
I welcome opportunities to work with individuals, community groups, businesses, professional associations, and organizations through speaking engagements, facilitated conversations, employee experiences, conferences, workshops, and retreats.
An Author's Journey
Writing has also become an important part of how I explore and share ideas. My books, Defining Your Greatness and The Path of Finding Yourself, reflect my ongoing interest in identity, personal responsibility, possibilities, and the choices through which we shape our lives. I believe greatness isn't a fixed destination. It continues to be defined through the way we grow, respond, contribute, and choose to live. And sometimes, the path of finding ourselves begins with recognizing how much of ourselves we've placed aside.
Let's Begin a Conversation
I don't believe anyone needs another person to dictate what their life should look like. But sometimes, having the space to pause, reflect, and consider a different perspective is exactly where something meaningful begins. Whether you're exploring your own next chapter or seeking a thoughtful experience for your organization, I'd welcome the conversation.
Because You Can't Pour From an Empty Cup.
